Dale Patzer, 77 of Park Rapids, MN formerly of Harvey died Thursday April 12, 2018 at the North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN.  Funeral services will be held at the Seventh-day Adventist Church Harvey on Friday, April 20 at 10:00 a.m.  Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hertz Funeral Home Harvey.  Public prayer services will be on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery of Harvey.

Dale was born on June 13, 1940 in Harvey. He was the son of Willie E. and Alma (Tebelius) Patzer.  Dale grew up and attended school in Harvey.  Dale attended flight school in Devils Lake where he received his pilot license in 1958.  Dale then moved to Harvey and was an aerial crop sprayer.  He was a very good pilot. When he was young he was a bit of a daredevil which honed his pilot skills.  He would generously give airplane rides to whomever would ask. Dale moved to Arkansas and did aerial crop spraying for many years.  He moved back to Harvey on 1984 and worked for Helm Flying.  In 1993 he started his own business, "Dales Flying Service" in Harvey.  Dale gave his heart to the Lord and was baptized on June 14, 2008.  He had a ready smile for everyone and was easily amused.  Dale was once married to Nancy Faul and they had two children Carmen Patzer and Gene Patzer.  Dale married Audrey (Eng) Kost on July 3, 1986 in Harvey.  During the winter months Dale and Audrey lived in Arizona.  They had recently moved to Park Rapids, MN.

Dale is survived by his wife, Audrey of Park Rapids, MN; children, Gene Patzer (Christy Linge) of Buchanan, Carmen Patzer (Randy Hager) of Fargo, Tammy (Butch) DeLaHunt of Park Rapids, MN, Brandon (Michelle Smith) Kost of Harvey; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert; sister, Ethel Patzer.
