Donald Michael Rily, 69, rural Anamoose, died Friday, September 2, 2011 at his rural Anamoose home.

Funeral mass Friday, Sept. 9 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Harvey, ND. Visitation 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. Thursday at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Donald Michael Rily was born July 5, 1942 in Alhambra, CA to Franklin and Clarissa (Pruit) Rily. He grew up in El Monte, CA and graduated from high school there. He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed at the Minot Air Force Base. It was in Minot where he met Elizabeth Haman. They were married and lived in California, Arizona and Nevada. They also lived in Harvey during the 1970's and owned and managed the K & J Restaurant. They moved back to North Dakota in 2003. They lived on a farmstead east of Anamoose.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; three sons, Donald, Patrick, and Shane; five daughters, Michelle, Kristen, Bridget, Heather and Pamela; 31 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, James; sister Patricia.
