Curtis Lysne, 80 of Harvey, died Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at the CHI St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday Feb. 9 at First Lutheran Church, Harvey, ND. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service on Friday at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery of Harvey.
Curtis Ronald Lysne was born on April 27, 1938 in Harlow, ND. He was the son of Carl and Agnes (Loken) Lynse. Curt grew up and attended school in Brinsmade until the 8 th grade. The family moved to the family farm near Leeds where he graduated from high school. Curt married Janet Fox on April 30, 1955. They in lived in Maza, Churchs Ferry, Starkweather and Maddock, where Curt worked for grain elevators. They moved to Harvey in 1975. Curt began working for Harvey Farmers Elevator until his retirement.
Curt was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Wells Eagles Aerie # 3080 both in Harvey. Curt was a former member the Harvey Volunteer Fire Department and the Elks Lodge in Devils Lake. Curt enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, gardening, playing cards, bowling and attending his children's and grandchildren's activities.
Curt is survived by his children, Carla (Ron) Toso, Mandan, ND, Daren (Linda) Lysne, Rugby, ND, Karalee (Bob) Adam of Bismarck; daughter-in-law, Kim Lysne, Devils Lake; 11 grandchildren, Keith (Carly) Toso, Jennifer (Kriss) Grinolds, Lindsey (Pat) Irwin, Kayla (Anthony) Toso, Leann (Nick) Jundt, Jayde (Melissa) Lysne, Kayde Lysne, Dustin Lysne, Catlan (Danae) Lysne, Carley (Justin) Lysne, Brett (Jenna) Adam; Justin Kraft, Nathan Miller, Rob (Miranda) Adam; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Arlys Haus, Bismarck. Curt was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janet, son, Rick; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bernie and Leila (Bremseth) Fox.
Curt passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the CHI St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck. Blessed be the memory of Curt Lysne.
