Cole Weckerly, 32, Bismarck, ND formerly of Hurdsfield died on Saturday, July 25, 2015 near Martin, ND. He was injured in an ATV accident.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Hurdsfield Community Center, Hurdsfield, ND.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.
Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hurdsfield, ND.
Cole Robert Weckerly was born on December 28, 1982 in Bismarck, ND. He was the son of Terry and Wanda (Nies) Weckerly. The family lived near Goodrich. When Cole was five years old the family moved to Hurdsfield. He attended grade school and middle school in Hurdsfield before graduating from Harvey High School in 2001. Cole graduated from Montana State University, Bozeman, MT in 2006 with a B.A. in Business Management and Entrepreneurship. A highlight of his college years was spending a semester in New Zealand. Cole met the love of his life, Theresa Threadgold at college. She is the daughter of Don and Kathleen Threadgold who reside in South Dakota. Cole and Theresa were married on September 8, 2007 in Rapid City, SD. From 2007 to 2014 he was a partner in Weckerly Farms in Hurdsfield. He moved to Bismarck in 2014 and was the territorial sales representative for Syngenta.
Cole was first of all a loving and caring husband, father, son and friend. He was very outgoing and was known for his hugs and contagious smile and laugh. He encouraged his children to develop their own interests and had a wonderful time watching them grow. He was a passionate outdoorsman. Hunting, fishing, golfing, snowboarding, camping, and mountain biking were activities he especially enjoyed.
Cole is survived by his wife, Theresa Weckerly of Bismarck; two daughters, Isabel (5) and Madeline (1); son, Tristan (2); parents, Terry and Wanda Weckerly of Hurdsfield; brothers, Chad (Tessa) of Hurdsfield; Cody (Christia) of Farmington, Michigan; paternal grandparents, Norman and Mattie Lou Weckerly of Hurdsfield; several nieces and nephews and host of relatives and friends.
Cole was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Shirley Nies.
