Clinton O. Hieb, 66, Harvey, ND passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 in Fort Worth, TX doing what he loved to do, making his final run.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND. The interment will take place following the service at the Sunnyside Cemetery west of Harvey. This will be an opportunity for family, friends, and loved ones to gather, pay their respects, and celebrate the life of Clint Hieb.
Clinton O. Hieb was born July 30, 1956, to David and Edna (Fisher) Hieb in Harvey, ND. Clint was an only child growing up and graduating in the Jamestown area. He had fond memories of his family farm, raising cattle, and the love of a rural lifestyle. As an adult, Clint was an active member of the Fessenden JC's, FFA, and a member of the Harvey Eagles Club. His favorite pastime was fishing in addition to grilling, smoking meats, watching Gunsmoke, and developing several memorable dishes that his family enjoys to this day.
Clint had been a commercial truck driver during the majority of his life and was proud of his accomplishments. He enjoyed driving, and spent many hours behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler, running his rig from coast to coast, border to border.
In 1982, Clint married and started a family with Tammy Langseth (Deisler) in Harvey, ND but later divorced.
Clint was a dedicated and devoted son, caring for his late mother, Edna. He supported her for many years and when his mother had to be cared for in a nursing home, he was by her side regularly. He was always there making sure his mother was in good spirits and receiving excellent care.
Clint is survived by his three children: David Hieb (III), Bryan Hieb, and Leslie Abel (Justin); five grandchildren: Aubrie Abel, Alexus Elliott (Tristan), Jonathan Hieb, Ravyn Hieb, Gavin Abel; his Uncle Ken Fisher (Geri) and their son Howard Fisher; along with distant relatives and friends.
Clint was preceded in death by his mother and father, and Brother David Hieb (II) that died as an infant.
