Clifford Grosz, 79, of Harvey died Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 12 at Faith Lutheran Church, Harvey, ND. Visitation will be Friday May 11 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.
Burial will be in St. Martin's Lutheran Cemetery, Anamoose, ND.
Clifford was born on July 30, 1938 at Drake, ND. He was the son of Gottlieb and Eva (Uhlich) Grosz. He grew up and attended school in Anamoose graduating in 1956. He went on to attend the University of North Dakota. He received his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration in 1961, his law degree in 1964 and his masters degree in accounting in 1965. Following his graduation, he opened his law practice in Harvey in September 1965. In addition to practicing law, he prepared tax returns and served as power of attorney or guardian for several individuals. He served as the Wells County States Attorney from 1975 to 1979. He also had farming interests in the Anamoose area.
Clifford was an active member in the Harvey community. He headed the community chest fund drive for several years. He was a past member and past president of the Harvey Jaycees and a current member and past president of the Harvey Kiwanis Club. Cliff enjoyed collecting toy cars and toy farm machinery.
He was once married to Marge Steiner.
Clifford was baptized at the St. Paul Lutheran Church rural Drake and was confirmed at the St. Martins Lutheran Church of Anamoose. Clifford was currently a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, Harvey, ND.
Cliff is survived by his son, Curtis, of Eagen, MN ; daughter, Brenda of Grand Rapids, MN; 5 grandchildren; brother, Raymond of Harvey, ND; aunts and numerous cousins.
