Clayton Schell, 86 of Napoleon, ND formerly of Harvey, died Friday, December 30, 2022 at the Napoleon Care Center, Napoleon, North Dakota.

Funeral and Military rites will be provided by the North Dakota National Guard Funeral Honors Team and the American Legion and VFW Posts of Mandan, at 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2023 at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.

Clay ton Don Schell was born on March 26, 1936 on the family farm near Underwood, ND to Don and Fern (Peeler) Schell.  He grew up and attended rural school in the Underwood and Turtle Lake area.  Clayton entered the Army in 1955 and was honorably discharged in 1957.   He then worked in the oilfields of ND, MT, Wyoming, and Utah as a roughneck.  Beginning in 1985 he worked for farmers in the Bowman and Maddock areas.  He retired in 2000 and moved into Harvey in 1998.  In 2019 he moved to Napoleon where he resided in the Napoleon Care Center.

Clayton is survived by a brother, Dennis Schell of Kennewick, WA and a sister, Donna Diehl.
