Christine E. Larsen, 76, Santa Monica, CA died December 7, 2013 in Santa Monica.
Funeral Services in North Dakota will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the Turtle Mountain Lutheran Church, Souris with burial following in the Turtle Mountain Cemetery near Souris, North Dakota.

A funeral service was held at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church located at 11967 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90049, on Saturday, December 21st at 10:00 a.m.
Christine Ellen Larsen, wife of Richard F. Larsen, and mother of Reidar F. Larsen and Maia M. Leon, died peacefully at home on December 7th, 2013 after a short fight with cancer. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, bicycling, horseback riding, reading, and spending time with her family and friends, including her three grandchildren, Reid (18), Ella (16), and Matthew (7). Christine, a 37 year resident of Santa Monica, California, was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Los Angeles, the P.E.O. Sisterhood, and the Angels Attic Museum.
Christine, the only child of Michael and Lillian Frawley, both predeceasing her, was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, on November 7, 1937. She attended College in Boston, Massachusetts, where she met, and subsequently married, Richard F. Larsen in New York City on April 1, 1961. During their 52 years of marriage they lived in London, Grand Forks and Bismarck, North Dakota; Bethesda, Maryland; and San Francisco, California before moving to Santa Monica in 1975. An avid reader she worked at a publishing house in London when first married and subsequently helped start and manage a regional bookstore in Grand Forks, ND.
