Cherraine Weltz, 93, of Harvey formerly of Anamoose, ND, died Monday April 28, 2025, at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home of Harvey.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at St. Martin's Lutheran Church, Anamoose, ND.  Visitation will be Tuesday, May 6 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Cherraine was born on September 28, 1931, in Arnegard, ND.  She was the daughter of Loren and Ann (Stenehjem) Pellett.  The family moved to Anamoose in 1937.  She attended the Anamoose grade school and graduated from the Anamoose High School in 1950.  She married Ervin T. Weltz on October 26, 1950, in Anamoose.  They lived, farmed and raised their family south of Anamoose. Cherraine was a homemaker most of her life except for a couple of years where she worked at the St. Aloisius Medical Center in Harvey.  Ervin died on July 19, 2014. She moved to Harvey where she lived in an apartment until entering the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in 2023.    Cherraine's hobbies included gardening, crocheting and hunting. Cherraine was a member of the St. Martin Lutheran Church.

Cherraine is survived by her two daughters, Cindy Purtell, Rapid City, SD, Roxanne (Marlin) Larson, Stanton, ND; four grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Cheraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Terry; sisters, Leona Brower, Bonnie Heisler, Ione Lang; brother, Loren Ove Pellett.
