Carolyn Strobel, 77, Denhoff, ND died Monday, March 4, 2019 at the St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2019 at the First Baptist Church, Goodrich, ND.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 7 at Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky.

Burial will be in the Goodrich City Cemetery.

Carolyn Freida Isaak was born on October 3, 1941 in Drake, ND to Emil and Freida (Weirsch) Isaak.  She grew up on the family farm and attended a country school.  Carolyn graduated from the Drake High School in 1959.  She was then employed as a switchboard operator in Drake.  Carolyn married Ronald Strobel on July 28, 1960 at the Rosenfield Baptist Church near Drake.  They lived, farmed and ranched north of Denhoff.  Ronald died on November 16, 2005.  She continued living on the farm.  Carolyn was a member of the First Baptist Church in Goodrich and participated in a women's bible study group for years.  She was once a member of the Denhoff Homemakers and the Ponderosa Saddle Club.  She sewed and mended, planted a huge garden and enjoyed cooking and baking for her children and grandchildren.  She spent the last few years closer to home where she visited with grandchildren and kept in touch with her Facebook friends.

Carolyn is survived by a daughter, Tammy (Larry) Evenson, Coleharbor, ND; three sons, Tom, Denhoff, Tim, McClusky, Terry (Heidi), Denhoff; 5 grandchildren, Megan (Brian) Fettig, Eric (Lynsey) Evenson, Jacob, Jonathan and Jolynne Strobel; great-grandchild, Presley Fettig; 4 sisters, Alice Iszler of Mandan, Karen (Erwin) Elker of Moorhead, Marilyn (Lynn) Lund and Maren (Brian) Bofenkamp all Spokane, WA; 4 brothers, Wesley Isaak of Eagen, MN, Loren (Sophie) Isaak of Drake, Ralph Isaak of Thief River Falls, MN, Ronald (Claudia) Isaak of Harvey; brother-in-law, Roger (Julie) Strobel of Denhoff; sisters-in-law, Maxine Strobel of Fargo and Druscilla Strobel of Brea, Ohio.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald; brother, Orland Isaak, sister-in-law Zondra Isaak; in-laws, Colleen (Strobel) and her husband Ardell Loverude, niece Shelly Strobel.
