Carol Jean Zumbaum, 71, Sterling, ND formerly of the Denhoff area died Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the CHI St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck.  There was a private interment in the Denhoff Cemetery.

Carol Jean was born on January 5, 1950.  She was the daughter of Benjamin and Lillian (Engel) Zumbaum.  She graduated from the Goodrich High School.  Carol Jean had been living in Sterling and was most recently employed as a cashier at the Cenex Store in Sterling.

Carol Jean enjoyed her German Shepard dogs and her horse.

Carol Jean is survived by her sisters, Eldora "Joyce" Miller of Phoenix, AZ, Kathy (Myron) Mindt of Goodrich, ND, numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol Jean was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Jack and Richard.
