Carmen Bender, 44, of Anamoose died Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the CHI St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck.
Funeral services will be held at the Cornerstone Community Church South Campus formerly the Mennonite Brethren Church of Harvey on Thursday, February 1, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.
Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Burial will be in the Martin Baptist Cemetery, Martin, ND.
Carmen was born on September 30, 1973 in Harvey. She was the daughter of Robert and Lorraine (England) Frank. Carmen grew up south of Anamoose and attended school in Anamoose and graduated from Anamoose High School in 1992. Carmen married David Bender on October 2, 1992 in Martin. They lived north of Martin for two years before moving to Anamoose in 1994. Carmen worked at Kinder Bears Daycare and Goulding's One Stop Convenience store in Harvey for a time. She was currently working at the Dakota Heritage Bank of Harvey. Carmen also took an active role with the family farming operation.
Carmen enjoyed spending time with her kids, traveling, fishing, hunting, reading Nora Roberts books, and riding four-wheeler. She was a very loving wife and mother and loved her family and friends. Carmen was a member of the Martin Baptist Church of Martin.
Carmen is survived by her husband, David of Anamoose; children, Brittany Bender and Brock Bender both of Anamoose; parents, Robert and Lorraine Frank of Denhoff, sisters, Karla (Scott) McKinven of Harvey, Lynelle (Shane) Morris of Wilton, brothers, Robert (Michelle) Frank of Denhoff and Calvin (Lisa) Frank of Minot; mother-in-law, Arlene Bender of Martin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kevin and Julie Bender of Goodrich, Brian and Lynette Bender of Martin; numerous nieces and nephews.
Carmen was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Clinton Bender.
