Calvin Schaan, 63 of Harvey died Thursday December 12, 2019 in Harvey.

Private services are being held at a later date.

Calvin was born on October 24, 1956 at Rugby, ND.  He was the son of Ray and Elvina (Beanie) Schaan.  The family lived in Rugby until moving to Harvey in 1963.  Calvin graduated from the Harvey High School in 1974 and also from Wahpeton State School of Science in 1976 with an Associate Degree in Computer Science. He was once married to Julie Newman and a daughter Allyson was born to this union.  He worked on construction jobs in North and South Dakota for many years.  He retired and lived in North Dakota most recently returning to Harvey.  Calvin enjoyed fishing.

Calvin is survived by his daughter, Allyson Schaan of Fridley, MN; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Donna and Nick Bosh of Moorhead, MN, Karla and Dustin Sawrey of Farmington, MN; three brothers and one sister-in-law,  Charles of Sun Lakes, AZ, Keith of Bend, OR, Howard and Julie of Harvey; 13 nieces and nephews; 24 great nieces and nephews; four great-great-nieces and nephews.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bruce; nephew, Richard.
