Byron John Korus age 70, of Chanhassen, MN passed away peacefully on October 31st, 2022 after a 6-year battle with cancer. Byron was born on November 2nd, 1951 and raised on a family farm near Denhoff, North Dakota. He pursued a career as a pharmacist, moved into culinary arts as an executive chef and owned multiple businesses, was a culinary professor earning his PhD in Education, and was also a wine sommelier. Byron was extremely passionate about life, food and wine, education, gardening, his family and friends, and his grandchildren. He had a contagious laugh, and he loved to share stories about his life on the farm, and loved to tell all his friends stories about his grandchildren. Byron will be greatly missed and was predeceased by his parents, Wilbert and Fern Korus, and his sister, Diane Schock. Byron is survived by his loving wife, Gayle; his two daughters Nikkolette (John) Krumheuer and Merissa (Thomas) Browning; his two grandchildren, Clara and Reid; and his brother Paul (Lynn) Korus.

Services for Byron will be held in the Goodrich City Cemetery on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.
