Obituary

Beverly Ann Huber Hakanson, 67 of Harvey and former Maddock business owner and resident died on Sunday, August 24, 2014 in her Harvey home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 29 at First Lutheran Church, Harvey, ND.

Burial will be in North Viking Cemetery, Maddock, ND at 2 p.m Friday.

Visitation will be Thursday from 3 p.m to 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.

Beverly Ann Huber was born on January 6, 1947 at Harvey, ND. She was the daughter of Reuben and Agatha (Gillig) Huber. She grew up on the family farm west of Harvey. She attended the Hillsdale rural school and Harvey Public School. She moved to Placerville, CA and attended high school there. Beverly was once married to Wiley Roberts. They had four children, Jay, Michelle, James and Steven. Through the years she lived in California, Nevada, Montana and in Harvey.
Beverly married Keith Hakanson on August 6, 1983 at the Klara Lutheran Church north of Heimdal. They lived and farmed north of Heimdal. They moved into Maddock in 1991. Beverly and Linda Abrahamson bought the Double R Bar in Maddock in 2001 and sold it in 2008. Keith died on December 16, 2010. Beverly moved to Harvey in April 2013. Beverly was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Harvey where she was baptized. She was also a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary in Harvey since 1983. Beverly enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, reading, bowling and golfing.
Beverly is survived by her children; Jay (Leanna) Roberts of Mesa, AZ, Michelle (Floyd) Wahl of Dickinson, James (Beth) Roberts of Sierra Vista, AZ, Steven (Cathy) Roberts of Sierra Vista, AZ; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Loretta (George) Buchwitz of Harvey, Dianne Ripplinger of Mesa, AZ, Lori (William) Frisby of West Monroe, Louisiana, Carol (Scott) Reed of Tempe, AZ, Sandra (Russell) Horbal of Crystal, MN, Roxanne (Brian) Moening of Temecula, CA, JoAnn (Tom) Lucas of Rolette, ND, brothers, Archie (Maggie) Huber of Harvey, Terry (Doris) Huber of Moorhead, MN, Wayne (Cheryl) Huber of Bismarck.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Keith Hakanson.
