Betty Schauer, 93, of Loveland, CO died on Friday, January 26, 2018 at her daughter's home in Loveland, CO.

A memorial mass will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Holy Family Catholic Church, McClusky, ND.  Her final resting place will be in the Goodrich City Cemetery, Goodrich, ND.

Betty was born on February 24, 1924 in Hazelton, ND.  She was the daughter of Willard and Wilma (Heaser) Germain.  She grew up at Hazelton and graduated from the Hazelton High School.  Betty graduated from Valley City State Teachers College in 1945.  She was an elementary school teacher for ten years.  She married Edmund Alvin Schauer on July 31, 1950.  They resided in Goodrich, ND.   Edmund died in 1974. After her husband's passing, Betty moved to Jamestown.  After her health began failing she moved to reside with her daughter in Loveland, CO.

Betty enjoyed reading, movies, walking, traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her children, Patricia (Ron) Arndt of Loveland, CO, Jack Schauer of Fargo, ND, Jane (Joel) Albrecht of Aberdeen, SD, Thomas Schauer of Loveland, CO; four grandchildren, Emilie (Ray) Romero, Jon Arndt, Christopher (Chelsey) Albrecht and Amy Albrecht; three great-grandchildren, Camryn, Conner and Carson Albrecht; six sisters; two brothers.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband and eight siblings.
