Bernice Filler, 97 of Harvey died Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey.

Funeral services will be held at the Mennonite Brethren Church of Harvey on Monday January 25, 2016 at 10:30 a.m.

Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Burial will be held at the Chaseley City Cemetery, Chaseley, North Dakota.

Bernice was born on March 6, 1918 in Knox County, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Henry and Anna (Opkis) Wricks. Bernice grew up and attended school near Creighton, Nebraska. She married Theodore Filler on October 1, 1935 in Harvey. They lived and farmed south of Chaseley until moving to Harvey in 1994. Ted died on June 2, 2002. Bernice entered the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in 2009.

Bernice was baptized and joined the Harvey Mennonite Brethren Church of Harvey on September 9, 1953.

Bernice is survived by two sons, Thomas (Gail) of Chaseley, John (Cathy) of Miles City, MT; daughters, Judith Neigel of McGregor, TX,Susan and Jerry Patzer of Harvey; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Dennis; brothers, Hugo, Robert, Albert; sisters, Margaret Wricks, Blanche Wricks, Faye Herbolshiemer.
