Barbara Irons, 81, of Harvey died Saturday, November 26, 2022 at the St. Aloisius Hospital of Harvey. Funeral services will be held at the St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Harvey on Friday December 2, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Thursday, December 1, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Prayer services will be Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Barbara was born on April 11, 1941 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Michael and Myrtle (Bjelland) Lepinske. Barb grew up and attended school in Minneapolis. She moved to Oklahoma for a time and then moved back to Minneapolis. Barb moved to Harvey, North Dakota in 1973. Barb married James Irons on May 17, 1974. While living in Harvey Barb worked as a cook at the Town and Country Restaurant. Barb and Jim spent 15 winters in Arizona.
Barb was a member of the St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Wells Eagles Auxiliary and the VFW and American Legion Auxiliary all of Harvey. Barb enjoyed flowers, plants, animals, bowling, cooking, canning, and watching cooking shows.
Barb is survived by her husband, Jim of Harvey, daughter, Kelly (Troy) Allard of Harvey; son, Kevin Venable of Lacrosse, Wisconsin; son-in-law, Steven Jensen, daughter-in-law, Tracy Venable; 7 grandchildren, Dylan, Nicholas, Kayla, Christopher, William, Taylor, Carly; 3 great-grandchildren, Jamez, Zhane, and Marceline; sisters, MaryKay Redenius of Minnesota, Elaine Fischer of Minnesota, Patricia (Lepinske) Samletza and her husband, David; brother, Dennis Moss of Minnesota; Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Barbara Ann Jensen; two brothers, Harvey Moss and Michael Lepinske.
