Barbara Armstrong

April 17, 1947 – February 20, 2012



MOHALL - Barbara Jean Armstrong, 64, of Mohall, died Monday, February 20, 2012, at a Minot hospital.

Barb was born on April 17, 1947, in Powers Lake. She was the daughter of Clifford and Dollris (Ferguson) Hanson. Barb grew up and attended school in Tioga and graduated from Tioga High School in 1965. Barb attended Dickinson State College. She moved back to Tioga and worked at the Bank of Tioga.

Barb married David Armstrong on December 23, 1967. They lived in Tioga until moving to Mohall in 1975. While living in Mohall, she worked for Gate City Federal Savings Bank. Barb served as deputy city auditor for the City of Mohall beginning in 1985, and served as city auditor from 1987 until 2011.

Barb was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall, and enjoyed singing and playing music.

Family: Barb is survived by her husband, David, of Mohall; two sons and daughters-in-law,

Darren and Amy Armstrong, of Minot, and Bryan and Nicole Armstrong, of Harvey; daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Travis Hedberg, of Minot; six grandchildren, Brody and Kelby

Armstrong, of Minot, Tyler Rygg and Isabella Armstrong, of Harvey, and Gannon and Ben

Hedberg, of Minot; Mother, Dollris Hanson, of Minot; brothers, Bruce (Patty) Hanson, of Casper, WY; and Brad Hanson, of Aurora, CO.

Barb was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Hanson.

Funeral: Saturday, February 25, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, Mohall.

Burial: Mohall Community Cemetery.

Family Service: Friday, February 24, 2012, at 7:00 p.m., at Brose Funeral Home, Mohall.

Visitation: Friday 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
