Arnold "Arnie" Reinhart, 88, McClusky died Saturday, November 25, 2023 in a Bismarck nursing home.  A private burial in the McClusky City Cemetery will take place at a later date.

Arnold was born on October 6, 1935 in Fargo, ND to Otto and Clara (Nelson) Reinhart.   Arnie was nine years old when his parents divorced, and at the age of 14 he moved to a small farm southwest of McClusky with his dad.  They later moved a few miles away to his grandparents' farm, which was also near McClusky.  He enlisted in the Army when he was 21 years old but was honorably discharged two months later because of hearing problems.  He returned to McClusky and worked for area farmers.  His dad passed away unexpectedly in 1968.  Arnie stayed and managed the farm.  After a fall in 2009 at his home, he was unable to return there and lived in the Baptist Home Apartments in Bismarck. He moved to the Sheridan Memorial Home in 2020 and more recently to Missouri Slope Care Center in Bismarck.

Arnold loved to read, especially Time, astronomy, and political science magazines.  Religious books such as ones written by Oral Roberts were also on his reading list.

Arnold is survived by half-sister, Evelyn Klotz of Moorhead, MN; three nieces and numerous cousins.  Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, all his aunts and uncles and several cousins.  Arrangements with Hertz Funeral Home, McClusky, ND
