Ardell Berglund's Obituary
Ardell Berglund, 76, New Salem, ND formerly of the Heimdal, ND area died Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the Elm Crest Care Center in New Salem.
Memorial Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 11 at 1 p.m. at the Heimdal Hall.
Burial will be in the Klara Lutheran Cemetery, rural Heimdal.
Ardell was born on April 29, 1938 on the family farm near Heimdal to Henry and Hattie (Fossen) Berglund. He attended school in Heimdal and graduated from the Benson County Agricultural School in Maddock. He worked on the family farm for a number of years. He also built grain elevators and worked on the Great Northern Railroad section crew. For health reasons he lived for over 20 years in nursing homes in Wilton, Underwood and New Salem.
Ardell was an artist and he loved to sketch cars, trucks and tractors. He was passionate about anything to do with John Deere.
Ardell is survived by his brother, Harold (Dallas) Berglund of Cavalier, ND; sisters, Marlys Baumann of Beach, ND and Donna Rogers of San Antonio, TX; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ardell was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Leo and Glenn.
Arrangements with Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND
