Annie M. Schmidt, 82, Harvey, ND died Friday, September 5, 2014 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey.

Funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Harvey, ND.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.

Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Harvey.

Burial will be in the St. Cecilia Catholic Cemetery of Harvey.

Annie Marie Fronk was born September 23, 1931 in Harvey, ND. She was the daughter of Frank and Katherine (Schneider) Fronk. Annie grew up in Harvey and graduated from the Harvey High School in 1950. She received her diploma from the Sisters Of Francis School of Nursing in Minot.

Annie married Dale Schmidt on September 8, 1953 in Harvey, ND. They lived in Colorado Springs, CO where Dale was stationed in the army. They returned to Harvey in 1955 and lived and raised their seven children there.

nie was a Registered Nurse at the St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey for over 50 years. She specialized in the hospital's obstetrics department and participated in over a thousand labor and deliveries. She also served as the Wells County Public Health Nurse. During her retirement she volunteered checking blood pressures and other vital signs for the nursing home and senior housing residents.

Annie was a member of the St. Cecilia Catholic Church and Holy Family Society; Catholic Daughters of the Americas; American Legion Auxiliary and Eagles Auxiliary all in Harvey. She was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

Her hobbies included playing bingo and visits to the casino. She also enjoyed baking, canning and shopping.

Annie is survived by her children and grandchildren as follows, Dale (Manya) Schmidt of Kansas City, MO, Jeff (Roberta) Schmidt of Charlotte, NC, Mariann and Mike Richter of St. Cloud, MN, Mark and Janet Schmidt of Bismarck, ND, JoAnn Bienek (Al Dauenhauer) of Baldwin, ND, Kathy and Mark Keller of Eagan, MN, Jon Paul (Kim) Schmidt of Bismarck, ND; 17 grandchildren, Katie, Adam and Peter, Robert, Dale, Leann, Dustin, Alex, Austin, Jenny, Bryan, Joshua, Matthew, Luke, Anna, Jordyn Rose and Kolby Jon; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marian Otterson of Moline, IL, Lillian Dooner of Columbia Heights, MN, Rose Bevacco of Mesa, AZ, Evelyn (Howard) Theige of Moorhead, MN, and Barbara Fronk of Shoreview, MN; brothers, Rudy (Ruby) Fronk of Fargo, Tom (Luanna) Fronk, Alexandria, MN, and Bob (Mary) Fronk of Medford, WI; many nieces and nephews.

Annie was preceded in death by her husband Dale on March 25, 2005; her brothers, Frank and Leo; sisters, Helen Matros, Lena Roble and Fran Kullas; infant grandchild Jacob Dale Keller.
