Anne Axtman, 98, of Harvey died Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home of Harvey.  Funeral services will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church of Selz, ND on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 10:30 a.m.  Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by Rosary and Prayer Service.  Burial will be in the St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery, Selz.

Anne was born on July 29, 1925, near Wellsburg, ND.  She was the daughter of Peter and Annie (Richter) Wack.  She grew up near Wellsburg and attended school in Wellsburg.  She lived with her parents and helped with chores around the house and on the farm.  She met her future husband, Andy Axtman and they were married on October 14, 1946, in Selz, ND.  They built a small home a mile east of the Axtman homestead and later bought the homestead in 1957.  Anne helped milk the cows and with the farming operation.  She also had a huge garden.  Anne was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church, Christian Mothers and Altar Society, Wells Eagles Auxiliary, and the Selz Busy Bee Homemakers.  Anne enjoyed quilting, crocheting, word search puzzles, and playing bingo.  Anne loved her grandchildren and always made sure they left with some candy.

Anne is survived by sons, Jerry of Harvey, Terry (JoAnn) of Fargo, Glenn (Rhonda) of Fargo, Randy (Rosalie) of Harvey; 5 grandchildren, Jerod Axtman, Harvey, Travis (Kari) Axtman of Milnor, Jordan (Tara) Axtman of Andover, MN, Brianna (Nathan) Kinnischtzke of Dickinson, Natalie Axtman of Moorhead, MN; great-grandchildren, Hailey (Bo) Gregor, Cougar Axtman, Cameron Axtman, Sophia Axtman, Andrea Kinnischtzke; one great-great-grandchild, Adlee Gregor; sister, Sharon Held of Hankinson.  Anne was preceded in death by her parents; husband Andy on March 19, 2015; siblings, Kathryn Wack, Albert Wack, Lena Weinmann, Mary Volk, Jimmy Wack, Regina Kessler, Barbara Keller, Lorraine Richter, and Helen Wack; daughter-in-law, Darlene Axtman.
