Ann Bergman, 90, Harvey, ND died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 27 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Harvey, ND.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey, ND.
Ann Cornelia Nyquist was born May 8, 1921 at Hatton, ND. She was the daughter of Gustave and Tina Sophie (Hanson) Nyquist. She moved with her parents to Harvey as an infant. She grew up in Harvey and attended Harvey High School. She married Ben F. Hager and they had two children, Ilona and LaVary. They lived in Harvey and later divorced. Ann married George Bergman on June 14, 1969 in Reno, Nevada. They lived in Harvey where they owned and operated Harvey Drug. George died on September 15, 1992. She continued to live in Harvey, her home for ninety years.
Ann was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Wells Eagles Auxiliary both in Harvey. She was a cancer survivor and participated in the local Relay For Life events. Ann was one of the oldest cancer survivors in North Dakota having been diagnosed and treated in 1960. Ann loved to dance and play Bingo.
Ann is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ilona and Jim Holzer of Rescue, CA and a son and daughter-in-law, LaVary and Cindy Hager of Brighton, CO; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Rudy Nyquist.
