Angelina 'Angie' Volk, 84 of rural Harvey, ND passed away unexpectedly on September 8, 2022 at the St. Aloisius Hospital of Harvey.  Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday September 14, 2022 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Harvey ND.  Visitation will be from 4:00 -6:00 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, with prayer/rosary service to follow at 6:00 p.m.  Burial will be in the St. Cecilia Catholic Cemetery of Harvey.

Angie (Grossman) Volk was born on June 29,1938 at home in rural Selz and delivered by her grandmother 'Midwife' Helena Grossman.  She was born to William and Caroline (Vetter) Grossman, and had one older sister, Agnes (Ludwig) Grossman.  Angie grew up on a farm in rural Selz, ND.

Angie met and married her true love, Pius Stephen Volk on July 11, 1960 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Selz, ND.  Theirs was the first marriage to take place in the newly built church.  They raised two children on the family farm north of Harvey.

Angie was a devoted wife and mother.  She worked side by side with Pius to keep the farm running.  Angie greatly enjoyed doing for others and would more than often be found cooking several dishes for family and friends.  She especially enjoyed cooking German dishes.

Later in life Angie also shared her gift of love for children by working at Kinderbears Daycare in Harvey, ND.

Angie's driving force was her love for life and love for her faith.  She shared this through being a religion teacher for the youth and, along with her husband, a marriage advisor for the engaged and worldwide marriage team leader.  She also was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.

Angie was at her happiest when she had her entire family under one roof.   She especially loved being with her grandchildren who were the joy of her life.   She was a caring, loving person who always put others needs above her own.

Angie is survived by her husband, Pius of 62 years of marriage; two children, Jesse (Natalie) Volk of Harvey, ND and Holly Volk (Greg) of Williston, ND; four grandchildren, Joshua (Emily, fiancé') Volk, Zachary Volk, Hunter Webster and Capri CarrieAnn Volk.
