Alice Lorz, 92, Minot formerly of Harvey, ND died Thursday, November 28, 2024 at the Lodge Senior Living facility Minot, ND.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St Cecilia Catholic Church, Harvey.  Visitation will be Monday, December 2, 2024 from 3 p.m.to 6 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND. Prayer services will be held at Hertz Funeral Home on Monday, December 2, 2024 at 4 p.m.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Alice Eberle was born on May 10, 1932 to Jacob and Mary (Lesmeister) Eberle. The family lived on a farm near Esmond until they moved to Knox ND in 1936.  In 1945 they moved to Harvey. Alice attended the St Cecilia Catholic School and Harvey Public School. In 1953 she married Albert Anhorn, and they raised 4 children; Cynthia, Vicki, Blair, and Janell. Albert died December 16, 1972. Over the years Alice worked at Super Valu, JC Penney's, and BJ Ford. Her family always came first, and she loved to sew clothes for her daughters when they were young as well as herself. Her hobbies were embroidery, crossword puzzles, crafts, and reading.  She loved flowers and it was evident around her yard and patio.

Alice married Adolph Lorz on November 13, 1976, in Harvey. They enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards and bingo, and going to casinos. They also loved to travel and had been to all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, and Jamaica. Their favorite destinations were Hawaii and Alaska. In 2019 Alice and Adolph moved to Minot to the Lodge Senior Living facility where they enjoyed meeting new people and playing cards and games.

Alice was a past member of the St Cecilia Catholic Church, the Altar Society, and was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas for over 60 years. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary.

Alice is survived by her husband, Adolph Lorz, Minot; daughters Cynthia (Don) Greeley, Balsam Lake, WI, Vicki (Tim) Swanson, Casper, WY, and Janell (Terry) Vetter, Minot; 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; brother LeRoy (Connie) Eberle of Minot.

Alice was preceeded in death by her parents; husband, Albert Anhorn; son Blair Anhorn; son-in-law Roger Keller; 4 sisters; Helen (Sebastian) Brunner, Irene (Pius) Voeller, Eleanor (Richard) Fingers, Bernice (Merle) Schindler; brother Harold (Darlene) Eberle.
