Alice Frueh 79 of Harvey died Friday, March 2, 2012 at the St. Aloisius Medical Center of Harvey.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 6 at the Bethel Baptist Church, Harvey.

Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey.

Visitation will be Monday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.

Alice was born on February 22, 1933 near Drake. She was the daughter of Ed and Marie (Wiersch) Roder. She grew up and attended rural school near Drake and then attended two years of high school in Kief. Alice married Ruben Frueh on September 6, 1953 in Drake. They lived and farmed in the Martin area where they raised their five children. They relocated to Lodi, CA in 1969 and then returned to the Martin area in 1972 continuing to farm. Alice and Ruben moved to Harvey in 1995. Ruben died on May 5, 2000.

Alice was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. As a homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, embroidering and baking goodies for her friends and family. A favorite pastime was attending auctions and flea markets.

Alice is survived by two daughters, Linda Fergason of Las Vegas, NV, Nancy (Lawrence) Bartz of Anamoose, ND; three sons, David (Judy) of Martin, ND, Curtis (Kim) of Harvey, ND, Tim (Arnetta) of Buffalo, ND; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Marcella Vollhardt of Drake and Jean Dietrich of Minot;

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ruben and a brother, Delmer Roder.
