Alice D. Feist, 84 of Harvey died Saturday November 5, 2016 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home of Harvey, ND.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Harvey, ND

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016 with prayer services at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey, ND.

Alice D. Feist was born on June 3, 1932 in the Harvey area. She was the daughter of Fred and Elizabeth (Hinsz) Werth. Alice grew up on the Werth farm ten miles south of Martin near Coal Mine Lake and attended the Berlin Township rural school.
Alice was a CNA at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey for many years. During her retirement she enjoyed working in her yard, taking care of her dogs Gonzo and Poncho, visiting with friends over coffee. She enjoyed traveling and visited her daughter in Japan on two occasions and trips to Calgary and Mesa, AZ. Alice loved taking the grandkids for nature car rides in the country. She also treasured the family gatherings on holidays and special occasions.

Alice was a member of the St. Cecilia Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

Alice is survived by four daughters, Mary (Ken) Volk of Carlos, MN, Paulette Feist of LaCrosse, WI, Debbie (Tomio) Takshita of Kagoshima City, Japan, Michelle Feist of Mesa, AZ; two sons, Paul (Jennifer) Feist, Jr. of Valley City, ND, Tim (Sally) Feist, of Minot, ND; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.

Alice was preceded in death by her son David; her parents; brothers, Roy, Walter and Ed; sisters, Pearl and Edna.
