Agnes Krenzel, 93, Harvey formerly of Esmond, ND died Friday, September 6, 2013 at the St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday September 10 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Harvey with burial in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Esmond, ND.
Visitation will be Monday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey with prayer services at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Agnes was born on May 29, 1920 near Selz. She was the daughter of Cornelius and Marie (Braunagel) Axtman. Agnes grew up and attended school in the Selz area. She married Leo Krenzel on October 16, 1939 at Selz, ND. They lived and farmed south of Esmond. They moved to Eugene, Oregon in 1967. She worked for ten years in a cannery. In 1978 they returned to Esmond. Leo died July 10, 1997. Agnes continued to live in Esmond until moving to Harvey on September 11, 2001.
Agnes was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church, it's Altar Society and Christian Mothers all of Esmond.
Agnes is survived by four daughters, Bernadine (Ricky) Stiegelmeier of League City, TX, Madonna (Frank Jr.) Vetter of Eugene, OR, Leona (Daniel) Peterson of Vancover,WA, Linda (Gordy) Kribs of Tigard, OR; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo; two brothers and two sisters.
