Adeline Winter, 79, Goodrich, ND died on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home, Harvey.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14 at First Baptist Church, Goodrich. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey ND.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey.
Adeline was born on July 24, 1931 near Chaseley, ND. She was one of thirteen children born to Andrew and Magdelena (Powl) Kline. She grew up in the Chaseley-Hurdsfield area and attended rural school. Adeline married Ruben Winter on May 24, 1953 at Harvey. They lived and farmed north of Goodrich. Adeline was a member of the United Methodist Church, Goodrich, ND. She was very active in the church women's group and in the Goodrich School Band and Chorus Mothers group. She had an active role in the farming operation from checking the cows to her love of running the combine during harvest. She kept busy with baking, gardening, painting buildings and being there as a caregiver.
Adeline is survived by her husband, Ruben; two sons, Jason (Linda) Winter of Goodrich, Gus (Tina) Winter of Quincy, WA; two daughters, Julie (Kevin) Bender of Goodrich, Glenda (Wayne) Moe of Idaho Falls, ID; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Adam Kline, Harvey; Tony (Joyce) Kline, Jamestown; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Joe, Pete, Nick, John, George, Emanuel and Edward; three sisters, Liz Lockrem, Irene Hager and Frances Hirschkorn.
Adeline is also survived by sister-in-law, Alvina (Monroe) Raugust of Harvey; Myrtle Kline of Oregon, Leota Akers of Iowa, Erna Kline of Hurdsfield and Elaine Kline of Harvey.
